    Description

    Handsome antique Indian low table with lovely old, original painted legs.
    Tea or altar. It is in wonderful antique condition with tons of beautiful age patina.

    This is a gorgeous piece of antique furniture. Solid, sturdy and heavy.
    The Brass Elephants encircling the border are just wonderful.
    Believed to initially be used as a low tea table but has also been called an altar table.
    In today’s home I can imagine it being used as a small low coffee table, a low pedestal for a beautiful sculpture or traditional tea ceremony table.
    It could even be placed atop a table as a pedestal to display an antique tea service or special pottery.
